Geocache Description:

The park is closed (and the gate is locked) from dusk to dawn.

t̓uʔəlaltxʷ Village Park and Shoreline Habitat, formerly known as Terminal 105 Park, is another hidden gem in West Seattle. It offers a 50-foot fishing pier and a sweeping view of the Duwamish River estuary and Mount Rainier. A creek runs along the south side of the park, emptying into the Duwamish. There are picnic tables, a covered gazebo, 10 parking spaces, river access and 220 feet of shoreline access where you can watch riverside machinery and boats in action.

What a great place this would be for a geo-event! After finding this cache, I encourage you to continue down the road to see the rest of the park.

Welcome back to West Seattle! We’ve now entered the Big Dark, the colorful autumn leaves are all fallen, and the final Community Celebration Events to celebrate this 25th year of Geocaching are wrapping up soon. So, what to do now but place and find as many geocaches as we can fit into the short amount of daylight we have. Accordingly, here is a new batch of West Seattle “Needful Things” caches. These wordy cache titles are designed especially to help geocachers who enjoy the now-grandfathered word challenges. Here, in addition to getting your Smiley, eight words in this title might be useful towards the Additional Logging Requirements (ALR) on twelve different types of word challenges. Refer to the linked “Needful Things” bookmark list for other titles in the series and to see which challenge types that these words meet.

Happy Caching!
