Welcome to our winter series for 2025-26 which will take you down Memory Lane as we explore the different series that have been hidden in West Michigan over the years. Be sure to collect all the codes along the way as you will need them to help find the bonus geocache location. The geocaches are guaranteed to be available through Easter Sunday April 5. Just Below Freezing was one of the first winter series that existed in the greater Grand Rapids area. It was comprised of members Tikibirds and DeRock. The first series came out New Year's Eve 2006 and it was 28 geocaches that were hidden down the length of 28th Street in Grand Rapids. The biggest thing about that year was seeing how fast you could get all 28. The average time was about three and a half hours and that wasn't bad considering that geocaching on 28th Street was the easiest during the night time hours. This series was the predecessors to the now very popular Cold Cache Crew.
