La scultura Dolomitoskop si trova lungo il sentiero panoramico al Corno del Renon, in mezzo a pini nani e rododendri di fronte ad un panorama stupefacente. L’intera scultura è fatta in gran parte con materiali scuri e fa da supporto per l’elemento di roccia, il quale è stato prelevato dal contesto originario, le Dolomiti.
Una stele leggermente inclinata penetra la piattaforma orizzontale. Oltre ad essere supporto della roccia dolomitica, la stele ha una feritoia con il compito di incorniciare le Dolomiti. Toccando con mano la superficie rocciosa, la sensazione visiva viene ulteriormente aumentata.
L’intenzione dell’artista Franz Messner e dell’architetto David Messner, i quali hanno ideato e costruito la piattaforma, era quello di toccare il meno possibile il territorio, e allo stesso tempo creare un segno marcante. La superficie della piattaforma misura 7 m⊃2;, mentre l’appoggio a terra solamente 30 cm⊃2;. Il materiale scuro si confonde con l’ambiente naturale circostante, indirizzando l’attenzione verso la roccia bianca sulla stele e verso il panorama dolomitico retrostante.
Se siete arrivati fin qui potete spingervi fino al Corno del Renon (m. 2260) con una vista mozzafiato a 360°.
La cache si può trovare in qualsiasi stagione, quindi anche con la neve, stagione in cui l'atmosfera quassu è magica.

Die Skulptur Dolomitoskop befindet sich entlang des Panoramawegs zum Rittner Horn, inmitten von Zwergkiefern und Rhododendren vor einer atemberaubenden Kulisse. Die gesamte Skulptur besteht größtenteils aus dunklen Materialien und dient als Stütze für das Felselement, das aus seinem ursprünglichen Umfeld, den Dolomiten, entnommen wurde.
Eine leicht geneigte Stele durchdringt die horizontale Plattform. Die Stele dient nicht nur als Stütze für den Dolomitfelsen, sondern hat auch eine Öffnung, die die Dolomiten einrahmt. Durch das Berühren der Felsfläche wird der visuelle Eindruck noch verstärkt.
Die Absicht des Künstlers Franz Messner und des Architekten David Messner, die die Plattform entworfen und gebaut haben, war es, das Gebiet so wenig wie möglich zu berühren und gleichzeitig ein markantes Zeichen zu setzen. Die Fläche der Plattform beträgt 7 m⊃2;, während die Auflagefläche auf dem Boden nur 30 cm⊃2; misst. Das dunkle Material verschmilzt mit der natürlichen Umgebung und lenkt die Aufmerksamkeit auf den weißen Felsen auf der Stele und das dahinter liegende Panorama der Dolomiten.

The Dolomitoskop sculpture is located along the panoramic trail to Corno del Renon, surrounded by dwarf pines and rhododendrons and offering breathtaking views. The entire sculpture is made mostly of dark materials and serves as a support for the rock element, which was taken from its original context, the Dolomites.
A slightly inclined stele penetrates the horizontal platform. In addition to supporting the Dolomite rock, the stele has a slit that frames the Dolomites. Touching the rocky surface with your hand further enhances the visual sensation.
The intention of artist Franz Messner and architect David Messner, who designed and built the platform, was to impact the landscape as little as possible while creating a striking landmark.
