🎅 Twelve Days of CACHEMAS 2025 🎅 Day 11 - Tibb's Eve

Tibb's Eve is a Newfoundland and Labrador tradition celebrated on December 23'rd, the night before Christmas Eve. It serves as an unofficial start to the Christmas season, where people gather with friends for food, drinks, and music before shifting focus to family on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. The tradition is tied to socializing and revelry, with some suggesting the name is a nod to "Tipsy Eve," though its exact origin is uncertain.Â
