Round-About-Buckden Walk - Round the Back
Looking for an area to place a loop of caches I discovered these paths & as I was walking discovered it was part of the Round-About-Buckden Walk , there is a nice webpage hosted by the Buckden Parish Council you can access that here :
The Round-about-Buckden walk is an 8-kilometre village walk,I have currently used about 1/2 of the walk , I started at Offord & I have suggested a couple of parking spots on this page https://coord.info/GCBFXJK . The walk which has been established using existing footpaths, is to encourage residents and visitors to explore the countryside, learn more about the flora and fauna and history of the area.
There are two information boards which describe the walk, one at the Village Hall, the other where the path meets the Ouse Valley Way and route leaflets available in a box next to the board at the Village Hall.
The route is in a loop alongside rivers & stream , I've tried to vary the hides & a couple will be much easier with a tool of the trade , I have suggested which ones on the cache page .
Please be aware that the footpath and river floods during periods of heavy rain so can be very muddy and occasionally even impassable.
Take extra care near water, especially with small children and be aware of wildlife and livestock if walking with dogs.
