The CACHE MOB is going to learn How to CACHETUR.  

 

Come join us at CITY OF FAIRFAX REGIONAL LIBRARY for a presentation on how to use CACHETUR for trip planning.

 

CITY OF FAIRFAX REGIONAL LIBRARY - in Meeting Room 101

 

3:30pm - 5:00pm Sunday, 4 January 2026

CACHE MOB - CACHETUR 2026 - Geocaching 201 

There's a large meeting room - capacity 100 - so everybody can come. 

Please enter a Will Attend note so I will have an idea of numbers beforehand.

Presentation will start promptly at 3:45 PM - expected time is 1 hour.

Cachetur.no is a website and app that I use every time I go on an all-day caching adventure.

The website - https://cachetur.no - is used to gather the group of caches to target on a trip.

You set a starting and ending place and it will optimize the route for you.

The phone app is used to help navigate from cache to cache.

CACHETUR WORKBOOK - This workbook describes most of the features of CACHETUR - from the app developers.

 

Feel free to bring your laptop if you want to create a trip using Cachetur during the event.

 

The goal of this course is to teach you how to create a trip, execute it, and log it via Cachetur. Cachetur has MANY, MANY features. Today we will focus on the simplest way get a trip created and use it.
