About the station:
The Gawler Racecourse has its very own dedicated railway station, making it easy for punters to enjoy a day at the races from almost anywhere.
Gawler Racecourse railway station is located on the Gawler Line. Situated in the northern Adelaide suburb of Evanston, it is 39.3 kilometres (24.4 mi) from Adelaide station.
The station is not in regular use, and only opens when horse-racing events are held at Gawler Racecourse.
About the cache:
Unless you are lucky enough to find this cache on race day, you will need to get off the train Gawler railway station and walk back a short distance to the Gawler Racecourse railway station. Alternatively you can drive to within several metres of the cache. Please be aware that the narrow access road to the station is a dead-end road with very little room to turn around. The final part of the access road through to Barnet Road is a walking trail.
You do not need to search on or near the railway line itself, please stay away from there as trains frequently pass through this station at speed.
