Mappa Comitatus Posoniensis (SK)
Najstaršou mapou Bratislavskej stolice je Mikovíniho Mappa Comitatus Posoniensis (1735). Je to prelomová mapa, najstaršia presná mapa stolice, vytvorená astronomicko-geometrickou metódou. Jej presný názov znie: Mappa Comitatus Posoniensis Accuratione Astronomico-Geometrica concinnata opera; čo znamená „„Mapa Prešporskej (Bratislavskej) župy, zostavená s astronomicko-geometrickou presnosťou.“
Kto bol Samuel Mikovíni (1700 – 1750), novohradský rodák, priateľ a blízky spolupracovník Mateja Bela? Bol stoličným inžinierom v Bratislave, pričom sa podieľal aj na projektoch ochranných hrádzí na Dunaji. Popritom, ako sa pohyboval po širokom okolitom teréne a starostlivo ho zameriaval, začali sa rodiť jeho vynikajúce mapy. Výrazne zdokonalil uhorskú mapovú tvorbu, keď medzi prvými začal používať vlastnú metódu triangulácie (znamenala určovanie polohy bodu pomocou siete trojuholníkov). Do svojich máp zakresľoval aj súradnice, pričom nultý poludník prechádzal práve Bratislavou, presnejšie severovýchodnou vežou Bratislavského hradu, tzv. Meridianum Posoniensis. Táto Mikovíniho súradnica sa neskôr používala pre všetky oficiálne mapy Uhorska a samozrejme pre legendárnu kešku (GCTYDD)

The oldest map of the Bratislava County is Mikovíni's Mappa Comitatus Posoniensis (1735). It is a groundbreaking map, the oldest accurate map of the county, created using astronomical-geometric methods. Its exact name is: Mappa Comitatus Posoniensis Accuratione Astronomico-Geometrica concinnata opera, which means "Map of the Prešporok (Bratislava) County, compiled with astronomical-geometric accuracy."
Who was Samuel Mikovíni (1700–1750), a native of Novohrad, friend, and close associate of Matej Bel? He was a county engineer in Bratislava, where he also participated in projects to build protective embankments on the Danube. As he traveled around the vast surrounding terrain and carefully surveyed it, his excellent maps began to take shape. He significantly improved Hungarian cartography when he was one of the first to use his own triangulation method (which involved determining the position of a point using a network of triangles). He also plotted coordinates on his maps, with the prime meridian passing through Bratislava, more precisely through the northeast tower of Bratislava Castle, the so-called Meridianum Posoniensis. This Mikovíni coordinate was later used for all official maps of Hungary and, of course, for the legendary cache (GCTYDD).
