Geocache Description:


A physical memorial to the Southern Pacific Railroad Monterey Branch built in 1879 and retired in 1999 (Greg Harrison, Abandoned Rails Website). A wonderful 10-year-old boy with a love for trains chose this location and provided the hands-and-knees reconnaissance for the hiding spot (thanks Greg!).
