A weirly good multi
A long time ago ( 27/10/2014 ) I got my 1st 2 FTF in this area , a MarcusMaximi pair of caches called
" On The Level: Offord Cluny " https://coord.info/GC5FHRR
& " A weirly good cache #1 " https://coord.info/GC5DMPC
Over 10 years later I'm back & have set something a bit more of a challenge than the previous MM base of post park & grab traditional caches . Please note the high DT & attributes related to this cache , although signing the log may not be physically too demanding , a quite specific tool is required to access the final cache .
The cache is a 4 stage multi with points all fairly close & the final coords also close by , it shouldn't take more than 30 mins total if you come prepared , I did not climb any trees & I would certainly discourage anyone from doing so , the info can be collected in any order , there is parking nearby .
Waypoint 1 - Offord lock N 52° 17.330′ W 0° 13.229′
Look up at the lock , you will see the words " Great Ouse River Board " and a date take this as
19DG
Waypoint 2 - Offord Weir #2 N 52° 17.236′ W 0° 13.153′
on the information board there are various dos & donts , along the bottom is a phone number for the ' National Customer Contact Centre ' take this as
037IJ 506 506
Waypoint 3 - Gauging station N 52° 17.231′ W 0° 13.057′
On the Gauging station door you will see a notice from the environment agency , the bottom line has numbers , take these to be
HFB669
Waypoint 4 - SV Hydrant N 52° 17.307′ W 0° 13.044′
Here you will see an SV hydrant , look at the letters & numbers here , let this be :
SV 1CE
A4
Now we should have letters/numbers from A-J , if you put those numbers into the below equation you will have the final coords enabling you to find GZ & hopefully access the final cache .
Now , nice & easy equation is :
N52 AB.C(D-A)E W000 FG.HIJ
