Take a short break from shopping, wrapping presents, cleaning the house, or whatever else you're busy doing today! This will just be a quick noontime meet & greet. We'll be at the picnic shelter (or another table if the shelter is in use) at Las Reinas Woman's Club park in La Habra. Street parking is available on the streets surrounding the park; do pay attention to the No Parking This Side signs on the east side of Park Pl though.
For decades this was the site of the La Habra Woman's Club, and many community events took place here over the years. Yours truly had ballet and tap lessons at the Clubhouse when I was 5 years old. After the 2014 La Habra earthquake, the bulding was condemned for structural deficiencies and a bad roof, and was torn down a few years later. The lot sat empty for several more years as plans for a new park were floated, but finally construction started in earnest in 2024 and the park opened in May 2025. There's a playground, exercise equipment, a picnic shelter, several more picnic tables and BBQ grills, and meandering paths (but no bathrooms). It's a great addition to the neighborhood!
