Wanderung zur Babisnauer Pappel - Ziel in Sicht

Vom kleinen Wanderparkplatz am Alten Postweg sind es nur noch wenige Meter bis zur Babisnauer Pappel! Die mehr als 200 Jahre alte und als Landmarke weithin sichtbare Schwarzpappel steht auf dem 335 Meter hohen Zughübel und wurde 1808 von Gutsbesitzer Johann Gottlob Beck an der Grenze seines Besitzes gepflanzt. Seit 1936 ist die Babisnauer Pappel als Naturdenkmal ausgewiesen, ab 1993 wurde sie mehrmals vegetativ vermehrt.
