This cache is to celebrate the reopening of the Berry Road bridge. Many years ago Hurricane Sandy and other significant heavy stream flows damaged the supporting substructure of the bridge resulting in it's closure on February 15, 2013.
Many years later the replacement bridge is now in place over the small creek that feeds into the West Branch of the Papakating Creek. The adjacent Berry Road property was aquired by Wantage Township and officially named Papakating Park on May 11, 2023. Please do not go near the house or barn as these area are off limits! Use the parking lot cords provided and walk to this cache and others within the park.
