Welcome to East Paris Nature Park! This is a quick and easy multi cache. I recommend solving this task first thing when you arrive, as the cache could be on the way to the Mystery and Traditional in the CCC series here.
Yes, there are several stages, but don't worry, it's not as bad as you think. Your job is to get a single piece of information from each stage, and use that to calculate the final coordinates.
Stage 1 (Posted Coordinates) - Ordinance Signs
Just before you enter the park, on the right side of the entrance touching the fence, there is a post with some signs displaying the relevant ordinances for the park. How many signs are on this post? (The green box is NOT a sign, it is a box!)
A = number of signs
Stage 2 - Info Board
On the SIDE of the information board, above your head, there is a small green sign that explains how this recreation site receives its funding. What is the name of the fund? Pick the correct answer from the list below.
City of Kentwood Parks Fund: B = 9
Endeavor Elementary Conservation Fund: B = 4
Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund: B = 0
Stage 3 - Pavilion
Simple: Underneath the pavilion, there are some picnic tables bolted to the floor. Count them.
C = number of picnic tables
Stage 4 - Bike Stands
Next to the (out of order) drinking fountain, there are some bike stands. For clarification, one bike stand is a single black loop. Count how many there are.
D = number of bike stands
Stage 5 - Park Sign
Last one, I promise. There's a big sign out by the road with the name of the park. On the stone base of the sign is written the park's address. What is it? (Just the number part.)
EFGH = address of the park
Coordinates
Now that you have collected all the numbers, you can solve for the final coordinates.
N 42° 51. (E - 1) (H - 1) B
W 85° 34. (D - 2) A C
Good luck!
