Geocache Description:

Cold Cache Crew 2026 presents...

Frozen Waterfalls - Morgan Falls

Located in Marquette County, Morgan Falls is a beautiful, accessible 20-foot waterfall where Morgan Creek meets the Carp River. It is popular for hiking in summer and autumn, but also stunning when frozen in winter. Winter visitation will require snowshoes or ice cleats and layered clothing for a safe, rewarding 2.8 mile round trip trek down a rocky trail for epic photos.

The Cache

The cache is not at the posted coordinates! And no, this isn't a Reverse Wherigo... but you do have two ways to solve it.

Option 1: Night Cache

As the name implies, this method is best done when it's dark outside! Starting at GZ, walk down the trail with a flashlight. You will see small reflectors shining the light back at you - this is what you will follow to reach the cache. You never have to leave the main trail until the very last step.

One reflector: You're on the right path. All of these can be found on the left side of the path.

Two reflectors stacked vertically: There is an intersection here: take a left.

Two reflectors stacked horizontally: There is an intersection here: take a right.

Three reflectors: The cache is nearby! take a left off the path and walk about 30 feet. You can't miss it.

One ORANGE reflector: You went too far. Turn back.

Option 2: Wherigo

If you're unable to get over here at night to find the cache, or you're having trouble with the reflectors and/or want to double check you're on the right path, you can download this Wherigo cartridge. It will not tell you exactly where to go, but it will notify you as you pass checkpoints on the trail and give you a nudge in the direction to take next.

>>> Click here <<< to download it, or search for it on your Wherigo app. If you cannot find the cartirdge after you download it, look for Paris Park Night Cache - that was the original name before it was changed.

Of course, feel free to use a combination of both. Try to spot the reflectors, and reference the Wherigo cartridge when you get lost. This may be especially helpful when you find the last set of reflectors but cannot find the cache, as the Wherigo will give a spoiler picture and coordinates.
