County Hwy 26 now has 26 caches!
PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT TO ACCESS ANY OF THESE CACHES WHEN THERE IS INCLEMENT WEATHER!
This is a nice drive most of the time, however, if there is snow, ice or rain....it could be a nightmare.
Use the titles to locate Fris' TB Air B&Beee
These 26 caches are a variety of containers placed on either side of Co. Hwy 26. They are numbered in the order you will reach them traveling from the intersection of 10 & 26 in Hamden toward Downsville NY. Be sure to download a list before you head out, some places along County Highway 26 will not have cell reception.
Caches placed on the opposite side of the road (like this one) can still be accessed in this direction by turning left off County HWY 26 onto a road or into a driveway. You will need to turn into a driveway for this one. It is on Private Property with permission! It is NOT plowed during the winter. Like a handful of other caches in this series (on either side of the road) you may want to walk a short distance (less than a few hundred feet) after you pull completely off the side of the road. If you enter this driveway with your vehicle please do not pull past the cache, the property owner is okay with you turning around on the lawn across the driveway from the cache to make it easier to exit the driveway.
Each cache title (including this title) Use the titles to locate Fris' TB Air B&Beee will give you a hint to help you find this cache, it will also help you access the cache once you have determined the coordinates. You do NOT need to visit all 26 caches to determine the coordinates for this cache. You simply need to Put a phrase into the puzzle checker to be given the coordinates. Once at ground zero you will need a combo to access the cache. The combo is on this page and on the cache itself!
Please no spoilers in the log! I encourage photos of the inside of the cache (especially when logging you TB drop. Please sign the geocacher log AND record your TB's name and drop/retrieve date in the TB guest book. Although it is not required to trade trackables, it is encouraged because one of my favorite parts of geocaching is moving trackables. I travel abroad too, so I will check this TB Air B-n-Beee for trackables trying to travel the world when I do.
Please do not remove anything from the cache container other than swag you are trading from the swag bag or the TB you are retrieving! There is a pencil, stamps, log books, furniture, other props, a swag bag....these all stay with the cache!
I hope you have enjoyed each cache in this series. Or at least most of them. I tried to mix them up and add a little bit of the same styles and ideas that I have seen over my first 1,000 finds (but there are no light posts on Co Hwy 26). I hope you had a favorite...I'd love to hear which one. Was it a traditional park & grab? Was it a multi? A mystery? Was it a puzzle or a maze? Did the container surprise you or make you laugh? Was it tricky? Did you give it a favorite point? Regardless, I hope they ALL earned you a smile and made you smile! If you did these all in one day...how long did it take?
