Kautta aikojen on Afrikassa ja Australiassakin kasvaneita ylösalaisinpuita (Adansonia digitata) pidetty pyhinä voiman, kestävyyden ja yhteisöllisyyden symboleina, joissa joidenkin kulttuurien uskomusten mukaan asuu henkiolentoja.
Ruotsin vallan aikaiselta Turun Viipuriin yhdistäneeltä Kuninkaantieltä haarautuu Voudintie, jonka varrella kasvaa omintakeinen vantaalaislajike ylösalaisinpuusta (Voimalinjaharvennus versontata), jonka tukevasta rungosta kasvaa reipas juurakkomainen pöheikkö.
Lähistöllä on nähty liikkuvan jopa satoja megawatteja, joiden tunnetaan viihtyvän varsinkin soidinmenoaikaan samoilla alueilla kuin visummin piiloutuvat sukulaistensa hattivatit. Epäilläänkin, että tästä voimapuusta saattaisi tarkkaavainen havainnoija löytää hattivatin pesäkotelon!

Already in ancient times have upside-down trees (Adansonia digitata) been considered holy symbols of power, resilience and community. According to the beliefs of some cultures, spirit creatures live in them.
In the times of Swedish rule, the King's Road (Kuninkaantie) connected Turku to Vyborg, and from this road forks Voudintie, literally bailiff's road. Along this road of governmental power grows a quirky variant of the upside down tree particular to Vantaa (Powerlinear delimbus ssp. rootyshootus), whose sturdy trunk suddenly extends into a rootlike crown.
Nearby sightings tell of flocks of even hundreds of megawatts, which are known to attract particularly during mating season the commonly cohabiting eerie and electrified creatures called hattifatteners. Hattifatteners are known to hide their residential structures much more carefully. It is worth suspecting therefore that this power tree might reveal to the careful observer the nesting structure of a hattifnatt!
Be sure to approach the holy upside down tree respectfully so as to not frighten the hattifnatts away!
