I didn't find my way back to 1718 yet, but I did discover another gate...
After some ponderin' I reckoned my best chance of getting back to me ship n' crew was to walk through the same strange gate that brought me here. Under another moonlit night, a familiar green light filled the void between the two arms o' metal. I gathered me courage and heaved myself into the void. Like before, I found me ol' body hurling through time and space, but when I finally felt solid ground beneath my feet, it wasn't the deck of my ship. I appear to have jumped to another gate in this same town. Seems like I've found myself a true treasure hunt, just like the good ol' days. But this time, the treasure isn't gold...it's the gate that will bring me back home.
I've left another log in a capsule at the site of this new gate.
