Really SideTracked Kralingse Veer (English below the picture)
Stopplaats Kralingse Veer is een vormalig station op de Goudse lijn van Rotterdam Maas naar Utrecht. Rotterdam Maas is ongeveer waar nu BlueCity is voorheen zwembad Tropicana, de laaggelegen straat langs de rivier heet daar dan ook Rhijnspoorkade. De Goudse lijn is in 1855 geopend. Het station Kralingse veer is van 1905 tot 15 mei 1935 in gebruik geweest. Daarna is er een ander trace in gebruik gekomen. Langs Rotterdam Noord via Rotterdam Alexander en Schollevaar naar Nieuwerkerk waar het nieuwe trace op het oude aansluit.
Deze Really SideTracked is ter nagedachtenis aan het voormalige station hier niet ver vandaan. Bij de inwoners was het bekend als: men woonde aan de laan bij het spoor.
Behalve het voormalige station (stopplaats) is hier een bijzonder stukje Capelle bij de cache. Een van de wijngaarden op het gunstig gelegen talud naar Fascinatio. Op zeer korte afstand van deze kleine rakker staat een informatie bord over de wijngaarden en de hier groeiende druiven.
Really SideTracked Kralingse Veer
Kralingse Veer is a station on the Gouda line from Rotterdam Maas to Utrecht. Rotterdam Maas is about where it is now: BlueCity (former swimming pool Tropicana), the low-lying street along the river heading east from there is called Rhijnspoorkade, named after the company who operated this line. The Gouda line was opened in 1855. The Kralingse veer station was in use from 1905 to 15 May 1935. After that, another route came into use. Along Rotterdam Noord via Rotterdam Alexander and Schollevaar to Nieuwerkerk where the new route connects to the old one.
This Really SideTracked is in memory of the former station not far from here. It was known to the inhabitants as: they lived on the avenue near the railway.
In addition to the former station (stop), there is a special piece of Capelle near the cache. One of the vineyards on the conveniently located slope to Fascinatio. At a very short distance from this little rascal is an information board about the vineyards and the grapes growing here.
