🧭 Fifth Annual Woodfield Mall Scavenger Hunt Event Cache

Important note: you are not required to participate in the scavenger hunts in order to attend the event. We will also have a scavenger hunt on a smaller scale around the pavilion for those who do not wish to be running around the entire mall.

Join us for a fun, fast-paced indoor scavenger hunt at Woodfield Mall! This is a social Geocaching event designed for teamwork, problem-solving, and exploration—no physical caches will be hidden for this event.

Time: 11:15 AM – 1:15 PM
Location: Woodfield Mall 5 Woodfield Mall, Schaumburg, IL 60173
Meeting Spot: Dining Pavilion above Entrance 5, located in Parking Lot E near the three-story parking garage

⏰ Schedule

• 11:15 AM – 11:45 AM: Meet & Greet, instructions, team formation
   
• 11:45 AM – 12:45 PM: Scavenger Hunts
   
• 12:45 PM – 12:50 PM: Grace period / final submissions
   
• 12:50 PM onward: Scoring, wrap-up, and social time
   

🗺️ The Scavenger Hunts

Participants will compete in teams of two to find as many items on the list. There will be different portions of the list for items that are valued differently.

📸 Photo Verification Required
For each item on the scavenger hunt list, teams must take a photo with the item.

• Both team members must appear in every photo for it to count
   
• Photos will serve as proof of completion and must be submitted by showing the photos at the end when we call up your team to add up points.
   

⚠️ Important Timing Rule:
There is a 5-minute buffer after the hunt ends. Submissions received after 12:50 PM will be penalized 1 point per minute late.
