Geocache Description:

Cold Cache Crew 2026 presents...

Frozen Waterfalls - Unnamed Falls

Located on Silver Creek, Unnamed Falls is a lesser-known waterfall in Keweenaw County near Eagle River. One can park along Five Mile Point Road where Silver Creek passes underneath, and take a short walk through the woods along the creek. The falls drop about 10–15 feet over rocky ledges with a modest flow. Despite being known locally, it has never received an official name, thus "Unnamed". During the winter, the waterfall often partially or fully freezes, forming attractive ice flows and making it a quiet, photogenic stop.

The Cache

Welcome to the Paul Henry Thornapple Trail. The Letterbox is not at the posted coordinates, but it won't be very difficult to solve for the final coordinates.

At the posted coordinates, there is an information board with a map. To the right of the map, there is a table labelled "Paul Henry Thornapple Trail Access". One of the boxes is labelled "YOU ARE HERE" - which number does it represent? Multiply that number by 631, and walk that number of feet down the trail (northwest). 320° You will find the cache on your right.

For example, If the answer was "Downtown Caledonia" (it is not), that location is labelled as "6" on the table. You would multiply 6 by 631 to get 3786, and walk 3,786 feet down the trail.

There is a stamp inside the cache, please do not remove it, as it is essential for a Letterbox. Bring your own stamp pad.

Unsure if your projection is correct, or want better coordinates? Use the Certitude below, it is forgiving up to 30 feet.

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.
