This is the latest in the series called “Cache to Eagle” which highlight Eagle Service Projects located across the United States. The very first Cache to Eagle is nearby, at the site our our sons Eagle project and which was the catalyst for the entire initiative. This is the first Cache to Eagle at a project site done by a female Eagle Scout, who happens to be our granddaughter (and an avid cacher). She is also the first Eagle in Troop 84G. I feel it's fitting to name this Cache to Eagle #1G with the G both for Girl and Granddaughter.
Please be careful with the cache and don't remove the container from location or rehide. Be careful with the landscape...while we do have permission, i promised that geocachers won't trample the area or take any of the vegetables that might be growing. The Photo highlights the Eagle Project site and may or may not include the actual location.
Scouting provides a tremendous number of service hours to the community. If you took the total hours of community service conducted by the Marin Council in one year and assigned that to a single individual working 40 hours a week…how long would it take them to accomplish the same amount of service? Answer: 18.95 years! See www.geoscouting.com for more information about geocaching and the cache to Eagle series which is part of the geocaching merit badge.
