The posted location is not at the cache, but is for parking near the Veteran's Memorial. The final cache is also nearby (walking distance).
After Tyngsborough was incorporated in 1809 it became known for its ferries which traveled up and down the Merrimack River, the quarries that produced granite, and several box companies that started in town. As the town developed, Tyngsborough became a vacation community and had a large seasonal resident population even up until the late 1960s.

The Tyngsborough Bridge, a green painted, single-arched, steel bridge over the Merrimack River. Constructed in 1931 as a replacement for an earlier wooden planked structure, this bridge is a major river crossing for residents of Massachusetts and New Hampshire. The bridge was most recently rehabilitated in 2012.

Veteran’s Memorial – Honors Tyngsborough residents who served in the U.S. Armed Forces, spanning multiple conflicts.

The Old Town Hall was originally built as a Baptist Church by the Tyngsborough Baptist Society in 1834. In 1864 the town purchased it to be used as a Town Hall and school room. Over the years the building held many community events and various town departments. When the new Town Hall was constructed in 1998, planning began to restore and renovate the historic building, which was completed in 2013 and is now used as a community event space.

The First Parish Meeting house, a historic Greek Revival building, opened in 1836 to replace an earlier 1755 structure, housing the town's spiritual and civic life for decades with its iconic Paul Revere bell, eventually purchased by the town in 2013 for renovation as a community event space.

The Winslow School was built in 1892. The first session in the new school house took place on October 11, 1892 with only two very large rooms to house the students. By 1915 the school was remodeled and four rooms were added to the back, and again in 1947. The School was active for over 100 years from 1892-2002. It is undergoing rehabilitation (as of January 2026).

The Littlefield Library was erected in 1905 after Lucy Swan Littlefield bequeathed five thousand dollars for the town to build a library. Built of Boston-faced brick and laid in Flemish bond, the building was once voted the "coziest library in the state," capable of holding 20,000 volumes. Today, the Littlefield Library is used by the Historical Commission to store and exhibit historical items and records.
