Geocache Description:

City of Yuma - Ray Smucker Park

Smucker Park was established in 1971 to honor Ray Smucker, president of the Yuma Rotary Club and manager of KYUM, a local radio station in 1944. The park covers a mile of land and includes a paved 3/4 mile walking path, fitness trail, rose garden, playground, and ramadas, including picnic tables and barbecue grills. The restrooms are located in the center of the park and parking is on Avenue A at the entrance.

The park has been a community hub, providing a space for barbecues, walking dogs, and enjoying the natural beauty of Yuma.  It has also been a place for local events and celebrations, contributing to the vibrant culture of the area.  You may feel a "strong attraction" to this park as you look for this geocache.
