The ranger and myself will be on site for the 3 hour duration of this CITO event
however please feel free to turn up whenever is convenient and just stay as long as you wish - all help is welcome.
WILLOW CLEARANCE AND SCRUB CLEARANCE AT HORSBERE RESERVE
Parking: Parking is available at the main entrance to Horsbere Reserve (see waypoint Parking area / Meet-up point).
Where: Meet up 09:30 by the main gates to Horsbere Reserve or if arriving later in the morning please come and find us working in the Reserve. Look out for updates on the cache page with our exact position.
What: There are always plenty of varied jobs to be done at Horsbere Nature Reserve. Today's task will be dependent on the weather and ground conditions, but we will be either cutting and stacking willow from the pond edge, or clearing scrub from the pond bank.
How: The Countryside Ranger will be there providing guidance and tools.
Please bring work gloves if possible, and wellies if you have them.
Health and Safety: The CITO session and will be covered by Council insurance as long as you are working under the Countryside Ranger's instruction.
You may like to bring a drink / snack for breaktime. Homemade cake will be provided 🙂
