🛫 About Sohar Airport:

• Serves North Al Batinah Governorate
• Plays a key role in tourism, industry, and logistics
• Strategically located near Sohar Port and the industrial area

From this elevated spot, you can watch aircraft take off and land while surrounded by mountain calm 🌍

• Be discreet 🤫, the area may have visitors
• Stay on existing paths where possible
• Return the cache exactly as found 🔄
• Bring sufficient water 💧, especially during hot months
• 🚸 Family-friendly with supervision

• 🚙 4-wheel drive recommended, especially for rough or unpaved access roads
• 📷 Take photos, leave only footprints 👣

The cache is placed in a safe and permitted location.
No restricted areas are involved, please respect the site 🤍
🧭 Access & Routes to the Cache
The cache can be approached via two different routes:
1️⃣ Route One (Shorter but Challenging)
This route starts from the Dredging Yard area.
It is the shortest option, but the road is rough and more difficult, suitable for experienced drivers and those comfortable with uneven terrain.
2️⃣ Route Two (Recommended – Scenic Route) 🌿🐪
This route starts from Falaj Al Qabail, after passing Crown Plaza Hotel.
The entrance is on the opposite side of the road, near the signs directing toward Sohar Airport.
This is the recommended route as it follows a beautiful unpaved road, passing by camel farms (Azbah) 🐪 and offering pleasant scenery along the way.
➡️ Continue straight ahead until the airport fence is on your left.
You will then see a small mountain, followed by a small gas network station.
After passing the station, follow the road toward the cache location.
🚗 Parking & Final Approach
You will need to park your vehicle near the end of the road and continue with a short hike to the hill, where the cache is hidden.

The cache container is a weather-resistant box, suitable for Oman’s hot ☀️ and occasionally humid 🌊 conditions.
