The building has no name anymore.
Records say it once served the town of Vienna as a place of care—high gates, barred windows, and long corridors meant to keep troubled minds safe from the world outside. Over time, the paint peeled, the gates rusted, and the whispers grew louder than the doctors.
They say it was on a night when the sky split open.
Thunder rolled so close it rattled the iron fence, and lightning turned the windows white for a heartbeat at a time. During the storm, one of the smallest residents—a quiet little girl who rarely spoke and never slept—vanished. No footprints in the mud. No open doors. No sound but the rain.
Searches lasted weeks. Then months. Nothing was ever found.
Not long after, the building was shut down. The gates were locked. The past was abandoned.
Or so they thought.
To reach where her things were hidden, you must pass through two old gates behind the building. Neither is locked. Both still open, as if they’ve been waiting all this time for someone small to walk back through them.
Locals whisper that her pet never left.
They say it still lingers near the old power box behind the building, watching over the place where her treasures were tucked away in haste—hidden for safekeeping before the storm swallowed her whole. Waiting. Patient. Loyal.
If you’ve made it this far, step carefully.
The gates still open.
The building still watches.
And somewhere nearby, something waits…
just in case she ever comes back
