We drive through this spot on our way to visit Grandma, and thought that this place needs to be recognized with a geocache. This is the merger of Clam River and Mark's Creek, but you don't have to get wet to log this one.
The geocache awaits you in he end of a guard rail. Be sure to pull off the road all the way in case someone comes through faster than they should be driving. When we placed the cache it was right after a winter ice storm that brought 2 inches of freezing rain, plus a lot of out-of-state power crews to clean up the multitude of trees . Many of the linemen were brought from Florida and Arizona and had never seen snow first hand. A cut tree fall is arms reach away from the cache but no longer obstructs the hide location.
