Challenge #11: The 2006 Time Trekker
This is a challenge cache, and the physical cache is at the posted coordinates.
Are you ready to wind back the clock? Two decades ago, the geocaching world was a very different place, and the survivors from that era are now true relics of the game.
To claim a find on this stage of the Devil's Dozen, you must prove your dedication to seeking out the "oldies." We are celebrating the cachers who have tracked down and logged a piece of geocaching history from every single month of the year 2006.
The Challenge
To qualify for this challenge, you must have found at least one geocache that was placed/hidden in each of the 12 months of the year 2006.
-
Twenty Years of History: You must have a "Found It" log for a cache hidden in January 2006, February 2006, March 2006... all the way through to December 2006.
-
The Hunt for Survivors: Many caches from this era have long since been archived. This challenge requires you to travel to find those rare containers that have stood the test of time for twenty years.
To claim a find you must meet the requirements of the Challenge:
-
If you sign the logbook and meet the requirements, log a 'Found It' log.
-
If you sign the logbook and do NOT meet the requirements, log a 'Write Note' and change this to a 'Found It' once you quality for the challenge.
The challenge checker below will verify if you qualify.
