While recently placing caches along Brea Canyon Rd we noticed that the area could use our help. Our goal is to pickup trash/debris along the south side of Brea Canyon Rd. Brea Canyon Rd is a main roadway between Los Angeles and Orange County with consistent vehicle traffic..We chose this area due to the road having an extra extra wide shoulder to help keep us safe. For anyone bringing little cachers to help out with the cleanup, we would recommend that they stay near the event GZ or along the adjacent paved walking/biking path with an adult.
When parking please remember that there is no parking along Brea Canyon Rd, no matter how tempting. Please park in the residential area on Castle Rock Rd while being considerate and the area residents.
For the event we will supply latex gloves, trash bags, water and some snacks.
The are is home to a few caches and who knows maybe a new cache or two will pop up!?!?!?
This event will be cancelled if inclement weather or poor visibility occur.
