Hier befand sich bis 2016 ein alter Schießstand.
Das V. Luftwaffenausbildungsregiment wurde zum 31. Dezember 2009 außer Dienst gestellt.
Damit endete die Ära des Bundeswehrstandorts Goslar, an dem seit 1958 rund 350.000 Rekruten ihre Ausbildung absolvierten.
Der zwischen 1935 und 1937 erbaute Fliegerhorst Goslar erstreckte sich über 62 Hektar und hatte 85 Gebäude sowie zahlreiche Baumbestände.
Mittlerweile wurde das Gelände in ein Wohn- und Gewerbegebiet umgestaltet.
Über die GeoTour
Goslar vereint auf besondere Weise Geschichte, Landschaft und Technik. Die historische Altstadt, das Erzbergwerk Rammelsberg und das Oberharzer Wasserregal bilden gemeinsam ein einzigartiges Ensemble, das als UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe ausgezeichnet wurde und bis heute die Entwicklung der Region sichtbar macht.
Diese Geotour ist aus der Geocaching-Community heraus entstanden. Sie wurde von engagierten Cacherinnen und Cachern entworfen, entwickelt und getragen – mit dem Ziel, die Besonderheiten Goslars auf abwechslungsreiche Weise erlebbar zu machen und bekannte wie weniger bekannte Orte miteinander zu verbinden. Und unser Maskottchen Adelhard wird dich dabei begleiten.
Goslar ist immer eine Reise Wert, weil hier Treffen sich mehrere.

(this Cache) GTGS: Adelharz Hangar
Until 2016, an old shooting range was located here.
The 5th Air Force Training Regiment was decommissioned on December 31, 2009.
This marked the end of the era of the Bundeswehr site in Goslar, where around 350,000 recruits had completed their training since 1958.
The Goslar airbase, built between 1935 and 1937, covered an area of 62 hectares and included 85 buildings as well as numerous tree stands.
The site has since been redeveloped into a residential and commercial area.
About the GeoTour
Goslar uniquely combines history, landscape, and technology. The historic old town, the Rammelsberg ore mine, and the Upper Harz Water Management System together form a unique ensemble, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and still reveal the development of the region today.
This GeoTour originated from the geocaching community. It was designed, developed, and supported by dedicated cachers, with the goal of showcasing Goslar’s special features in an engaging way and connecting both well-known and lesser-known locations. And our mascot Adelhard will accompany you along the way.
Goslar is always worth a visit, because it is a place where many paths meet.
