Geocache Description:

This is one of 4 new caches I've put out in conjunction with the 6th edition of my Cannonball Run weekend of events. Regardless if you've attended this year's Cannonball Run, or any in the past, or none at all, I hope you'll enjoy finding this cache.

New Zealand has a fantastic coastine - over 15,000 kms of it - and much of it is dotted with beautiful and often secluded bays and inlets. Names such as Golden Bay, Bay of Islands, Cathedral Cove, Mission Bay... the list is endless.

One of the more understated bays is right here on the border between the Wellington Region and the Horowhenua District.

Stopping Bay is easily accessed from State Highway 1 (when driving northwards) and offers the weary traveller unprecedented views* of herds of majestic Wildebeest on their annual migration across the plains of Kapiti, sweeping vistas of the snow capped mountains and ravines that make up part of the spectacular Kutukutu Ahi range, and vast fields of ripening sunflowers that would make even Van Gogh weep!

* Disclaimer: Actual views may differ during your visit.

In truth it would be a crime not to stop here and take in the complete splendour of the location. Enjoy your visit :)

Accessing GZ: The parking area for GZ can only be accessed whilst driving northwards. If driving south, please use the road 400m past GZ to turn around and head north. A waypoint has been provided for this location.

This is one of my sneakier types of hides, although it shouldn't be that difficult to find with the Hint I've provided. There is no room here for items of SWAG and/or TB’s. I have not provided a pen, as it's good practise to always bring along your own scrawling device.

If you do not sign the log (or provide me with photographic evidence of the log together with your caching name) then I reserve the right to remove your online 'found it' log. Hiders have a ton of hoops to have to jump through to create a hide, whilst finders only have 1 job - to sign the log!

Please re-hide exactly as found, and report any damage etc in your log. All feedback welcome.

Remember, like with all of my caches, this is supposed to be fun so if you are having an issue then contact me or walk away. Life is too short to get frustrated over something as subjective as having to get every cache.

Feel free to tell me what you thought of this one, either in your logging or else via a message, I don't bite :)
