Ahoy, mateys! Tharrr be lots of litter along the Panhandle Trail. So here's yer chance to join in the first C.I.T.O. (Cache In, Trash Out) event that I be hosting!
- Our jolly crew will meet at the posted coordinates (Bulger parking) at 11:45 a.m. and prepare to plunder litter.
- We'll proceed west along the trail for about 36 minutes, collecting what waste we find.
- We'll then turn back towards where we began, picking up any garrrbage we missed.
- Finally, we'll memorialize our exploits and deparrrt.
The event will occur no matter what weather the skies bring, so dress appropriately. Bring yer preferred litter-picking tools and gloves if ye don't want to touch litter. I'll supply bags and beverages. For attending this event, you'll get:
- The satisfaction of beautifying the trail.
- The experience of a C.I.T.O. event in January.
- Memories of picking up litter with mateys.
- Any litter you'd like to keep for yerself.
See you scallywags at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at the Panhandle Trail Bulger trailhead!
(Fear no mutiny: I made sure me hosting this event wouldn't offend the prolific buccaneer who's hosted many other trail cleanups. Why, he even suggested this parrrticular stretch of trail!)
