Львів — місто, де кожен камінь зберігає історію. Цей геокеш запрошує вас у південно-східну частину середмістя, де оборонні мури колись захищали місто від нападників.
Глинянська брама — одна з небагатьох збережених міських брам Львова. Вона була частиною оборонної системи міста й вела у напрямку Глинян та Волині. Брама неодноразово перебудовувалася, але й сьогодні вражає своєю масивністю та середньовічним характером. Колись саме тут стояла варта, що контролювала в’їзд до міста.
Поруч розташований Бернардинський монастир і костел Святого Андрія — величний комплекс XVII століття, який виконував не лише духовну, а й оборонну функцію. Потужні мури, бастіони та вежі монастиря були частиною міських укріплень. Це місце поєднує в собі тишу монастирського подвір’я і відлуння бурхливої історії Львова.
Знайшовши кеш, зупиніться на мить, огляньте навколо й уявіть, як століття тому тут ходили монахи, воїни та мандрівники. Нехай ця знахідка стане ще одним маленьким відкриттям старого Львова.

Lviv is a city where history lives in every stone. This geocache takes you to the south-eastern part of the Old Town, where medieval fortifications once defended the city.
The Hlyniany Gate is one of the few surviving city gates of Lviv. It was part of the defensive walls and marked the road leading toward Hlyniany and Volhynia. Rebuilt several times over the centuries, the gate still preserves its solid, medieval character. In the past, city guards controlled all movement in and out of Lviv from this very spot.
Nearby stands the Bernardine Monastery and the Church of St. Andrew, an impressive 17th-century complex. Besides its religious role, the monastery also served as a fortified structure, with thick walls, towers, and bastions integrated into the city’s defenses. Today, it is a place where calm monastic atmosphere meets the echoes of Lviv’s turbulent past.
After finding the cache, take a moment to look around and imagine monks, soldiers, and travelers passing through here centuries ago. May this cache become another small discovery on your journey through historic Lviv.
