The Launch of our 2026 TB Race!
That’s right, it is time to race again! Bring a TB of your choice with code to see who can go the farthest, most countries, etc. TBs need to have 0 miles logged and a TB code. Race tags explaining the race to those that move it along will be provided to add to your racer. We will also have a limited number of GCCO TB racers with unique codes available for purchase at the event.
RULES:
The race is open to any Colorado cacher who wants to play.
Bring or Register a trackable with zero (none, nada, zip, zilch, NO) miles on it to the Spring Fling April 18th, to send it OFF TO THE RACES. MILEAGE STATUS WILL BE CONFIRMED BY A GCCO REPRESENTATIVE BEFORE YOUR TRACKABLE IS RELEASED. THE RULES ARE:
1. You may enter any two types of trackables you wish per account. Travel bugs, coins, or TB codes on anything are eligible. Anyone with a Geocaching account is eligible to participate. You will activate and own your own trackable. Have fun coming up with a catchy name and mission!
2. Your trackable must have zero miles on April 18th, 2026 or when it enters the race, and no back logging is allowed. You may enter the race at anytime between April 18th and April 26th! Late entries must still have zero miles on it at the time they are entered. Race ends October 1st, 2026, and winners will be announced at an event later that same month.
3. You may not move your own trackables. You may move any other racer's trackables.
4. You may not mail or virtual move your trackable. Note: dipping a TB when you write a note saying you want to visit that cache one day in the future DOES NOT COUNT. If your racer gets dropped or dipped into a cache it has not visited, you will need to delete those logs. The trackable must be moved in the possession of a Geocacher at all times. That means you cannot give it to your muggle relatives or friends to take it on vacation with them. They will have to make a Geocaching account!
5. Your trackable cannot visit (be dipped) into a challenge completion cache unless the cacher is physically present at the cache.
6. Improperly dipped trackables will be requested to have their logs fixed by the owner or person moving the trackable. This can happen if people do not log their finds in order. We will notify you if we are made aware of this. Failure to fix the issue can result in disqualification.
7. No proxy re-entries are allowed. If any of your original entries go missing, then their race is finished.
Come with your trackable activated and ready to go. You can register it for the race at this event if you won't be able to make it to the Spring Fling Event on April 18, 2026. Do not forget this is supposed to be a fun and light hearted competition. Anyone not playing by the rules will simply be removed.
