Didcot GeoChat #4 (Village Hall Week 2026 - GWP District Community Centre)
After our recently placed GeoCache Series at Great Western Park, in central Didcot, and at surrounding villages, we decided to start hosting a monthly series of casual GeoChats at Great Western Park, hoping to meet like-minded local and non-local, old and new GeoCachers, sharing each other's caching stories and memories, discovering and exchanging trackables, in a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. There are also many GeoCaches nearby, so please feel free to find them before or after this event.
This monthly GeoChat is likely to occur during the 2nd or the 3rd week of each month, at weekday lunchtime. But this plan may be subject to changes depending on the feedback from the attendees.
Didcot GeoChat #4 is a special event celebrating Village Hall Week 2026
When: Monday 16 March 2026, from 12 noon to 1pm
Where:
Outside of GWP District Community Centre, 1 Gentian Mews, Didcot OX11 6GR (please see the published coordinates)
We will meet at the pedestrian area in front of the community centre entrance, and would not enter the community centre.
There are two large free car parks nearby, one for the community centre users, and the other for the pub customers across the road.
What: Celebrating the Village Hall Week 2026! And meeting like-minded local and non-local, old and new GeoCachers, sharing each other's caching stories and memories, discovering and exchanging trackables, etc., in a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere. GeoKids and GeoPets are welcome too!
Why: I started my GeoCaching journey in April 2025 and immediately fell in love with it! I wish to meet more GeoCachers like you, and have some GeoChats together. Hopefully we can become caching friends!
What's More:
After this Village Hall event, a few of us will retire to the pub across the road, and everybody is welcome to join us for more GeoChats.
There are also many old and new GeoCaches nearby, so please feel free to find them before or after this event.
