Geocache Description:

About Browns Field

Browns Field has been developed on the Fox Valley diatreme, one of around 150 of Jurassic age in the Sydney Basin, and with a diameter of about 300m, although most of the evidence is concealed by soil, vegetation and the oval. The area currently used as a sporting field was once indigenous forest, and later, a rubbish tip. The little bushwalk is worthwhile, with further walks available towards Howson Oval.
