Even when life bends us a little, we can still smile and stand firm. After a powerful typhoon swept through Taipei, these postboxes appeared on the news as a simple but striking indicator of just how strong the storm had been.
Instead of feeling sorry for them, people discovered their charm, leaning bravely, slightly crooked, yet still standing, and began taking photos with them. What started as storm damage turned into an unexpected symbol of resilience and humor, and these bent postboxes became a small but beloved sightseeing spot in Taipei.
Stage 1: Go to the posted coordinates and look at the small silver plate in between the two post boxes.
You will find two different dates on it, one in the text and one written in a circle. Be aware that both dates are in the same year; one is using the Gregorian calendar, and one is using the calendar of the Republic of China / Taiwan.
A = Difference in days between the two dates
Take the name of the typhoon in the English text and calculate its word value. Take the position of each letter in the alphabet (A=1, B=2, C=3, ...) and add them all together.
