Williamsdale is a tiny rural locality in southern New South Wales, sitting right on the NSW–ACT border along the Monaro Highway. Known mainly for the historic Williamsdale Roadhouse and its role as a former border checkpoint, the area has a quiet, open-country character. Surrounded by farmland and bushland, Williamsdale feels more like a gateway between regions than a town, marking the transition between Canberra and the Monaro.
Sadly the roadhouse is now shut down and in ruin.
Edit: Good news from Agent Basil...
"It is actually going to re-open. A full makeover, fuel pumps and EV recharging !"
