If you did not see the #3 in this event series, Panda explained how he grew up on a bowling league and had/has family that frequently bowl.
Much like him, while I did not grow up bowling in a league, the rest of my family did. They were in multiple leagues, so much of my childhood was spent at the local bowling alley, running around unattended, consuming too much caffeine and sugar, and playing the arcade bowling game while the rest of the family hit the real lanes (don't judge me, it was the 80s).
Unfortunately, where Panda could have his event at the alley he grew up going to, my local alley (while having the small problem of also being in Michigan), was torn down years ago and is currently a small garden center. Therefore, I thought, for our 4th bowling event, I would take you to the spot I started going to frequently once I moved here. Working in this area, this is where I would plan team-building events or just after-hour get-togethers. It's been around for a very long time and is currently owned by the son and daughter of the original owners.
We will meet in the restaurant/bar area (The Hideout Pub & Grill) - You can either go in the main entrance to the bowling area, turn left and you will see the sign and entrance on your left, or just go in the door on the far left of the front of the building (by the benches made of old pins and lanes). You can have a drink, or some excellent food (better than your typical bowling alley fare), or just chat and sign the logbook. After that, you can choose to stay and test your bowling skills, or watch as some of us (me, it's me) make a fool of ourselves attempting to bowl. No matter what, it's sure to be a lane-tastically good time and right up your alley!
