This event is a celebration of everyone who has contributed to the M4 Adventure Labs cluster. On this date we hope to have
- a total of 1,000 adventure lab stages including those already published
- 7 (so far) new adventures to be published at 1030 on this date in April (I'll keep updating this total to keep count of adventures promised)
- a new bonus cache
- an enjoyable crowd to talk to
- nice weather (past performance is not a guarantee of the future....)
If the weather is horrible then we'll be inside the service station building, location to be advised. To receive alerts about this and and other updates, please log a "will attend".
The event will be held in the quiet, grassed area of the old quarry, away from the main car park, just at the back of the Leigh Delamere Eastbound Services. To find the old quarry, follow the signs for the Eastbound Travelodge and the old quarry is opposite the travelodge entrance.
This is the central location for the M4 adventure labs. You can complete adventure labs here and from any of the parking waypoints on this page. There are food and refreshment outlets nearby, complete with toilet and rest facilities. If you want to park in Westbound services then there is a footbridge.
Parking waypoints are provided below. The nearest car park is the eastbound services, but the event can be accessed on foot from the westbound services via a footbridge over the motorway. Please note that free parking is restricted to 2 hours in both sides of the service area, and charges apply after 2 hours (enforced by cameras). If you intend to stay longer than 2 hours and you don't mind a 5 minute easy stroll, we recommend you use the layby alongside the nearby local road where parking is free and unlimited.
We hope that this Adventure Lab pool will continue to grow and provide fun for all. If you would like to contribute an Adventure Lab then please contact local cachers The Wombles (Dave) or Ailec Nor (Ron & Celia) on M4AdLabs@gmail.com.
Many thanks to those who have supported this project. We have an information sheet to describe how to go about requesting your own Adventure and credit, and there will be lots of people experienced in creating Adventure Labs willing to help beginners.
Note that Leigh Delamere car parks have a two hour limit enforced by cameras. If you want to stay longer then use the local road layby (see the waypoints on this page).
Further information about the adventure lab cluster and the services available from Leigh Delamere are available on the cache for M4 Adventure Labs #001 bonus GCAXB1C
