Didcot GeoCache Series 

After our recently placed GeoCache Series at Great Western Park (GWP) (cache #1-11, 14, 17-19, 30-32, 35, 38, 60-61, 80-81), Didcot (cache #12-13, 15-16, 20-25, 29, 33-34, 41-42, 44-45, 47-48, 53, 59, 62-63, 66-67, 69-79), Harwell (cache #26, 36-37, 43, 46, 54-55, 58, 68), Chilton (cache #27-28), Sutton Courtenay (cache #39, 64-65) and Milton (cache #40, 49-52, 56-57), we decide to place a few more caches in other parts of Didcot and surrounding villages, in order to honour local heros, and to reflect our rich local history, stories and heritage. We hope you will enjoy these new caches and may also learn something new when you are caching, thank you!

Didcot #82 - Ladygrove Hill and Fish Lakes

Ladygrove Hill is a hill located in the centre of the Ladygrove Estate, in the northern part of Didcot. It has a great view on the top of the hill, where you can view the stunning sunrises and sunsets, the railway station and centre, and a large part of Didcot to the south. On the north side you can find two adjecent fish lakes called Ladygrove Lakes, which has our placed Earthcache GCBBE29.

Ladygrove Lakes is a wildlife area with two fishing lakes, and is located in Didcot, Oxfordshire. The lakes are most noted for Carp/Specimen and Coarse fishing. Barbel, Bream and Common Carp are amongst the key species on offer at the venue. This is a Day Ticket fishery. 

About this multi-cache:

At the published coordinates, you will be standing in front of a green information board. The total number of letters in the third word of the first line on the top is A.

And at the bottom of the display window, there is a small warning sign, which prohibits a type of food in this area. The number of letters in the food name is B, and the number of letters in the first word on the bottom line of this warning sign is C.

Now please move to Stage 2, where you will see a tall stone sign raised by Brilliant Leisure. On either side of this stone there are two words in all capital letters. How many letters are there in the shorter word? Let it be D. And there is also a three-digit number about distance on each side of this stone, what is this number? Let it be EFG.

Finally, a few meters away there is a finger post. How many miles is Long Wittenham from here? Let it be H. And how many miles is Didcot from here? Let it be J.KL.

Please also note: 

The GZ area may be a bit muddy after the rain, so please be careful when approaching and searching at GZ.

Please bring your own pen, and open & close the cache lid carefully so the cache and log book can survive longer. 

Please also replace exactly as found due to obvious reason, and please be careful with the possible thorns and stinging nettles. Long sleeves, trousers, and gloves are recommended.
