CARW2026 Kick-off!
The finds are being logged and now it’s time for the encore. Voting for the CARW awards is officially open! Which cache really struck a chord with you? Which hide deserves a standing ovation? Cast your votes any time between now and one minute before the awards begin at the event on March 8.
We’re also putting together the CARW photo compilation. If you captured some great moments during the week, please send them to quadsquadcarw@gmail.com. You can email photos individually or share a Drive link, whichever is easiest.

We will be found on the restaurant side at the far back in the glassed in room. You are welcome to sit elsewhere if it gets too raucus and noisy for your enjoyment.
When: February 26, 2026, 5:30pm to 7:30pm
Come join your fellow geocachers, whether you've been caching since May 2000 or since Feb 28, 2026 because someone told you they're dragging you around all day come Saturday, all are welcome!
The CARW2026 geocaches should be releasing at 6pm. The sound of email notifications will take several minutes to die down and then we'll be checking out the new caches.
BUT WAIT! There's a catch. You're not supposed to go find them until 9am on Feb 28, 2026. (Officially, as per Geocaching HQ, you can get them right away, but then you're out of the running for some of the CARW trophies, so we suggest you wait in great anticipation with the rest of us for 9am Saturday morning!)
Please sign the logbook while you are at the event.

- Cache finding (CARW2026 caches) starts Saturday, Feb 28 (locations will not be posted on this page) at 9am, not 8:59am or even 8:58am, or anytime prior to 9am.
- Music to My Ears - Tales and Tiny Donuts CARW2026 GCBHZNX - Saturday, February 28, in the evening when we're all tired and grumpy and need sustenance in the form of donuts, the ring or the hole or the whole thing, north side of Groat Road
- Late Night Rave CARW2026 GCBJ2CR - Sunday early morning, ridiculously so early it's late night, where else but Denny's, Windemere
- CAKE CONCERTO CARW2026 Sunday, March 1, Spruce Grove. Mmm cake...
- The Final Track (Side A) Event CARW2026 GCBHZNN - Sunday, March 1, after cake in Spruce Grove, over in east Edmonton.
- Karaoke in keeping with our theme of music - all day long in your vehicles. Please furtively record and submit to the photo/video submission page (to be announced) if you dare incite your friends' wrath.
- Pulling someone or someone's vehicle out of the ditch. Locations and times will be announced with photos on Geocaching Edmonton Facebook as they occur.
- Exchanging of information to access certain caches more easily, probably at lunch at chance meetings at fast food restaurants as we go about searching.
- Air band demos (bragging who got the most FTFs, etc)
- Boardgame and Release Winter CARW2026 GCBJ2CR - Friday, March 6, Glenwood, West Edmonton
- Online voting ends probably Saturday, Mar 7
