Let's help out the parks by holding a spring clean up event. We will start at the Old Erie Canal parking area and walk one mile in each direction, picking up trash along the way and returning to the parking area. Although the trail is about a 1.5 terrain, there are steep drop off on both sides so I'm uping the terrain to equate with what we will actually be doing. (It could be higher terrain if it's raining and the hills are slick, so only go down as far as you feel comfortable.) Children are welcome, but should be under their parents' observation. Please don't let them go down the steeper slopes near the water!
Bring your own gloves and trash grabbers. I will bring plastic bags, but please RSVP with the number of people in your party, so I know how many to bring! NYS and the Old Erie Canal Park require a sign in to track volunteers. They also will ask me to take pictures so there will be a photo release. Photos are not required if you don't want to be included in them.
The park people will pick up our collected trash.
