Geocache Description:

My history of setting Super Bowl related caches started with XLIX Soup? Or Bowl? - though I renamed it some years later prefixing it with the Super Bowl number.   Coincidentally, this years' Super Bowl features the same teams as Super Bowl XLIX .  The New England Patriots vs, the Seattle Seahawks.

The tradition of having a Super Bowl puzzle with the name being simply the Super Bowl number started with LI

I've taken some years off creating one.. as "my" New England Patriots haven't been there since LIII.    I made an exception with LV as long time Patriots Quarterback Tom Brady won that one (with a new team).

But now the Patriots are back in the Super Bowl!

Super Bowl History

The game was created as part of a 1966 merger agreement between the NFL and the competing American Football League (AFL) to have their best teams compete for a championship. It was originally called the AFL–NFL World Championship Game until the "Super Bowl" moniker was adopted in 1969's Super Bowl III. The first four Super Bowls from 1967 to 1970 were played before the merger, with the NFL and AFL each winning two. After the merger in 1970, the 10 AFL teams and three NFL teams formed the American Football Conference (AFC) and the remaining 13 NFL teams formed the National Football Conference (NFC). All games since 1971's Super Bowl V have been played between the two best teams from each conference, with the NFC leading the AFC 28–27.

How the teams got here

The Patriots rebounded from a 4-13 record in 2024 to a regular season record of 14-3, finishing first in the AFC east for the first time since 2019.   After defeating the LA Chargers and Houston Texans in the playoffs, they won the AFC Championship defeating the Denver Broncos 10-7 in the snow in Denver.

The Seattle Seahawks also finished with a 14-3 regulat season record.   They had the #1 seed giving them a first round playoff bye.   After a playoff win in the Divisional round over San Francisco, the weather was fine in Seattle as the Seahawks defeated the LA Rams 31-27 to win the NFC.

At the time of setting this puzzle, I don't know who will win the game.   But by the time this is published, the game will be over and the result known.

If the Patriots win:   smiley   The cache can be found at

N V° (VII-II+1).(VII-VI+1)(III-II)(III-II-1)  W (II-I)° (VII-I).(VI-V)(III-I+1)(III-I+1)

If the Patriots losesad      The cache can be found at

N IX° (VI-I+1).(XII-X)(XI-X)(V-IV-1)  W (IV-III)° (XII-III).(XI-IX)(VII-VI)(VII-VI)

Correct application of the formula will give you the actual final coordinates.

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.
