Every great album has a moment where you flip the record—and this is ours. After the first weekend of caches solved, found, DNF’d, and replayed in your head, it’s time to bring Side A to a close.
Final Track (Side A) is a chance to come together, catch our breath, and swap stories from the opening set of CARW2026. This will be an opportunity for geocachers to share highlights, frustrations, clever solutions, and those “ohhhh” moments that only make sense after you’ve found the cache.
Whether your weekend was all chart-toppers or a mix of deep cuts and skips, join us to recap the first half of the week, reset the needle, and get ready for what Side B has in store the next week. One last listen before we flip the record and keep the music going. Then we'll see you on the flip side.
CARW2026 EVENTS
CARW2026 kicks off with cache publications starting at 6:00 pm on February 27, setting the stage for days filled with geocaching adventures, puzzle-solving events and other community gatherings. A bookmark list will be made available after publication.

- Thursday, February 26, 2025 at 6:00 pm - Cache Publication Time (Let the sounds of pinging phones unite as the excitement hits a high note!)
- Thursday, February 26, 2026 - GCBHW6F CARW2026 Kick-off - MUSIC Event 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm BP’s Mayfield. No doubt, the evening will build to a crescendo of anticipation!
- Friday, February 27, 2026 - GCBHZKA Get Your Groove On - Puzzle Solving Event CARW2026 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm Alberta Genealogical Society Library - orchestrated by the Quad Squad!
- Saturday, February 28, 2026 at 9:00 am - Official CARW cache finding begins. This is where the music starts. Any caches found before this are just the warm-up and will not count for any stats purposes.
- Sunday, March 1, 2026 - GCBHZNN The Final Track (Side A) Event CARW2026 at Newcastle Restaurant + Bar 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm
- Your turn to pick the hits! Online voting across a chorus of caching categories — Stay tuned for link and deadline.
- Sunday, March 8, 2026 – GCBJ8XG The Final Track (Side B) Event CARW2026 at Fort Heritage Precinct Heritage Program Space 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm in Fort Saskatchewan.
