Let's Celebrate Pi Day 2026!
Richland Public Library - Conference Room A
Saturday, March 14th, 2026
12:30 PM - 2:00 PM
March 14 marks Pi Day, an annual celebration of the mathematical sign pi. Founded in 1988 by physicist Larry Shaw, March 14 was selected because the numerical date (3.14) represents the first three digits of pi, and it also happens to be Albert Einstein’s birthday.
In celebration of this nerdy number, join us to play games, share caching stories, discover trackables, and of course - eat pie!
Two pies will be provided by the hosts, but feel free to bring another to share! Fruit pie, pumpkin pie, meat pie (if that’s your thing, no judgement), heck, even pizza pie would work! Plates, utensils, and napkins (for you messy folks) will be provided as well. Caterpillar Cafe at The Library is scheduled to be open for any beverage purchases, but the event itself is free.
New cachers, long-time cachers, even muggles are welcome!
Washington State Geocaching Association members are hosting this event. If you’re a geocacher in the State of Washington, please consider joining the WSGA. Follow this link to our website to learn more about becoming a WSGA member.
