布吉河是深圳河的一级支流，干流全长9.8公里。她发源于黄竹沥，上、中段流经布吉街道中心区，下游穿过罗湖核心商业区，于渔民村汇入深圳河，是深圳珍贵的人文水系与生态走廊。
随着城市化进程加速，高楼大厦取代了稻田村庄。从上世纪90年代起，布吉河逐渐失去往日的清澈，一度垃圾漂浮、淤泥沉积，鱼虾也难寻踪影。经过多年系统治理，布吉河水质显著改善，两岸景观与慢行系统焕然一新。如今，飞鸟重返，钓鱼佬也成了一道日常风景。
The Buji River is a primary tributary of the Shenzhen River, with a main stream stretching 9.8 km. Originating in Huangzhuli, its upper and middle reaches flow through the heart of Buji Subdistrict, while its lower reaches wind through the Luohu central business district before joining the Shenzhen River at Yumin Village. It stands as one of Shenzhen's precious cultural water systems and ecological corridors.
As urbanization accelerated, high-rises replaced paddy fields and villages. Starting in the 1990s, the Buji River gradually lost its clarity; the waters became cluttered with floating debris and silt, and fish and shrimp vanished. After years of restoration efforts, the water quality has improved significantly. With the upgrading of the riverbanks and pedestrian pathways, birds and anglers have gradually returned to the riverside.
