18th geocache of the Bixby Parks GeoTrail
Set within the lake park, this geocache brings you past a natrually formed stone wall shaped long before trails, picnic tables, or park maps existed. Though not directly on the shore, the lake is never far away--and the landscape here hints at the slow forces that shaped this area over time.
This formation appears as a line of stone resembling a low wall, created by natural fracturing, erosion, and gradual exposure of bedrock. In a few spots, stones rest atop one another, but the overall alignment is the result of geology-not human hands. water, freeze-thaw cycles, and gravity slowly worked along natural cracks, giving the stones their wall-like apperance.
The cache itself is not on the stone wall formation but it is nearby.
Take a moment to observe the rocks, then seach carefully. Please respect the formation and return everything exactly as found.
IMPORTANT - GEOTRAIL FINAL CACHE:
This bonus cache is the final cache of the GeoTrail. The container is secured with a padlock and cannot be opened at this location alone. You must collect the code from previous caches (BP#13, BP#14, BP#16, and BP#17) to unlock this container. Each earlier cache provided part of the code. Combine those parts here to open the lock and sign the logbooks.
If you do not have the complete code, you will not be able to access the cache.
Inside you will find a password for the passport. Head to GCBGD4B to pick up the passport and to help you find all the caches on this GeoTrail!
Congratulations on reaching the end of the GeoTrail, and thanks for exploring the park!
Please make sure to lock the cache back up when finished. To do that, set the lock to the open code, close the pin, and scramble the combination, thanks!
