Geocache Description:

Wyatt Earp (1848-1929) was a respected lawman in a handful of frontier towns in the Old American West. He gained legendary status as a participant in one of the most famous shootouts in western history - the shootout next to the OK corral in Tombstone, Arizona on October 26, 1881. His last lawman job was as a deputy US Marshall circa 1882.

In retirement his passion for mining brought Earp to Vidal, CA around 1909.  His claims were a group of copper/gold prospects in the nearby Whipple Mountains. Earp and his wife bought this house in 1925. The house is now in private hands and is not open to the public. Thus, do not go past the fence into the curtliage area.

Logging requirement: post a selfie with the Earp house/cottage in the backgound (a half face shot is acceptable).
Alternatively, about three feet high on the right side of the stand as you face the plaque, is a partially colored rock that stands out, send me the color painted on that rock. Please do not post pictures of that side of the plaque stand.

Bonus: If you have a capable vehicle, visit the nearby Wyatt Earp Memorial cache, GC44RH3.
